This second edition focused on the two sectors most cited in the adaptation part of NDCs, Water and Agriculture.

• This third edition was coupled to an IPCC outreach event on the Special Report on 1.5 degrees and preceded by advanced courses on adaptation for African scholars (October 24-25, 2018)

• This third edition focused on three sectors, adding the theme of resilient cities to the ones of the previous edition

To create an International Platform on Adaptation Metrics for the organization of annual meeting and a scientific advisory board to provide technical oversight.

To propose a platform format consolidating synergies in terms of research frame, targeted outcomes and above all, purpose of the metrics to be identified and developed.

To review the outcomes of the three first conferences and establish a rough assessment of the findings, the concepts and the definitions of adaptation metrics used across the world.
