While the COP22 insisted on the issue of adaptation, particularly relevant for the most vulnerable countries, it focused especially on adaptation metrics in an intent to identify tools for facilitating adaptation finance.
The first conference, hosted in Skhirate on september 27, 2016, explored different pathways to measure adaptation, whereas the second, organized in Ben Guerir on October 6-7, 2017, emphasized on a sectoral approach for water and agriculture, identified as the two most critical sectors.
The outcomes of the first conference were submitted by the Kingdom of Morocco to the UNFCCC website.
